Northern Fulmar

Northern fulmar on the west coast of Canada. Here in the northern Pacific Ocean, scientist Stephanie Avery-Gomm from the University of British Columbia found huge amounts of plastic in the stomachs of the birds. In over 90% of the birds, plastic particles were found in their stomachs. The image shows the small plastic fragments found in the stomachs of the birds.
